Qtr. 3 - Week 3 - 100th Day Celebration
Reading: We be working on retelling stories focusing on main idea and key details. We will be using fiction and non-fiction texts and passages. You can practice this at home as well. After they read or your read library books to them, discuss the main idea of the story and the key details that go with the main idea.
Writing: We will finish our first "How to ..." book. We worked in collaborative groups to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Then we wrote the steps as our first How to book. We are using transition words like first, next, then and last. We have used these with retelling and will now put them into our writing.
Math: We will be working with 2-D and 3-D shapes.
