Qtr. 4: Weeks 3 & 4 - Spring
Reading: We be working comparing characters in texts. We will discuss character traits and then use these to describe and compare characters in the texts we read.
Writing: We have finished our first personal narrative and we will begin our second narrative. We continue to work on using some "WOW" words and extending our sentences to have more detail.
Math: We will work on addition and subtraction with larger numbers. We are also working on multiple ways to solve math story problems. At home, you can work on fluently adding and subtracting . They need to be able to answer basic addition and subtraction facts quickly - just like when they read popcorn words!
Science: We have met and learned all about our fish and guppies. This past week we met 2 kinds of snails: Ramhorn and Pond Snails. We learned all about their body parts, what they eat and how they move. Did you know they have a foot? This coming week we have some new animals to meet and learn about.
